PLANTS IN THE COMMUNITY
Plants change neighborhoods; they change communities and provide innumerable benefits. How so? They beautify neighborhoods and provide a place of rest for your gaze, besides commerce and concrete, eye candy if you will. Isn’t it pleasing to live in a neighborhood with parks and playgrounds, or a view of a greenspace if you live in an apartment? But do we really notice the difference plants make? Take a minute to look around. Did you notice the sidewalk trees, the green lawns in your neighborhood, or the gardens on your block? Where can you beautify by planting a tree or a flower? The benefits and advantages experienced by having plants in the community will be addressed in depth in our weekly HORTPOD, which is coming soon.
